I remember so clearly, 2024 I was standing in my kitchen while worship music was playing on my t.v and I heard The Father say “I’m not just a God, I’m your Father.” Then out of no where I started singing “you’re not just a God, you’re my Father. You want me and I want you too.” By the time I finished singing I was on the kitchen floor a complete wreck! The Father came to visit me, He came to speak truth against the lie!
Every so often He has to remind me of His heart and His nature. I can get so caught up in everything I need to “fix” and it takes my eyes off the savior. All we need to do is speak His word and abide in him just as John 15 says.
About 5 months ago the Lord gave me this example. In psychology there is term called gene environment correlation. It suggest that if a child grows up in an environment certain skills and habits are automatically transmitted. For example, I come from a family who loves music. It’s in our blood to connect with melodies and harmonies. Now, my son is musically inclined. His love for music is one of the things I enjoy about him. The point is we didn’t teach him it just became apart of his nature. In the same way, the more we spend time with the Father in prayer , worship, praise, and reading His word, we become like Him. Why? This is His focus! It’s our relationship and communion with Him, and we benefit.
The Father enjoys our company more than we know. Every time I go into His presence I’m satisfied and I walk out feeling brand new. Nothing else matters except intimacy with my Creator, not even my flaws. I challenge you to put your eyes on the savior. Meditate on His goodness and He will do the rest.
