In 2022 my mentor and a few other women encourage me to continue letting God use me. They also stated that I had no need to be perfect because God is not looking for anyone to be perfect. He just wants someone who is willing. They all gave their stories of how God was using them although they have a list of flaws. The thing that stuck out to me the most is that they were making these statements even after 25 to 30 years of ministry. God was still developing them. There were so many things that they didn’t know and so many things they had to work on as individuals.
Sometimes I would listen to other people who I believed had more experience than me. These individuals were telling me that I wasn’t ready for God to use me so the perfectionist within connected with that statement more because it was familiar. So I followed the voice of perfection not God.
In 2021 and then again in 2024 the Father said “I can use you just like this.” To be honest I couldn’t believe He said this to me. How can you use me in this shape? I can give a laundry list of things I needed to work on or develop. Truth is, God loves imperfections because eventually if we give them to Him He gets the glory. Secondly, when we know we don’t have experience in specific areas we have no other choice but to abide in Him because apart from Him we can’t do anything!
I’ve been studying Solomon and the book of Proverbs. When Solomon asked for wisdom he asked because he knew he had no experience in leadership. In the same way it’s our responsibility to ask for wisdom for the kingdom mission assigned to us. As we stay connected we will receive the grace to get the job done. It was never about qualification or short comings. It’s about the fact that we’ve been chosen to do something for the kingdom! If the Father isn’t meditating on our flaws, why should we?
I hope this encourages you to be bold and confident with whatever God has asked you to do. Remember God can use you right where you are!

I really enjoyed reading this, and I truly needed it. It was a beautiful reminder that I don’t have to be perfect for God to use me—He can use me right where I am. Thank you so much for sharing and for taking the time to write this.
THIS IS GOOD👌🏾
